Pixel Warriors…we need to talk. Sony’s PS5 event just ended and I’m genuinely disappointed. All of the games they announced/showed were seemingly quality titles. However, almost none of them were exclusive to the PlayStation 5. That’s not to say that multi-platform games are bad, but it just cements the fact that I can wait a year or two before upgrading. What is of great import is that Microsoft announced the Xbox Series S, the basic $&!@@ model of Generation 9 Xbox consoles. It won’t have the same backwards compatibility grunt of the Xbox One X(the eighth generation Xbox maestro) , but for an individual like myself practicing price consciousness, it’s a good deal. I’ll most likely grab an Xbox Series S in the Fall/Winter, then get PlayStation 5 in 2021(possibly later). As for Sony’s PlayStation 5 conference? I’m not really into numbered scores, but I’ll grade it a C. We got to see more of Resident Evil VIII, Spider-Man:Miles Morales, and Final Fantasy XVI for the first time! An overall average conference. Short and sweet, but lacked the emotional brevity that I’m used to from Sony. Let me know your thoughts Pixel Warriors. ✌🏿
