With all the craziness in the world right now, it’s important to have fun. No matter how bad things get, we must persist. It’s all too easy to give into despair, forgetting that there is an overwhelming amount of things to be thankful and hopeful for.
Look, I’m not saying you have nothing to worry about, but never forget that we’ll get through this.
Here’s a few tips that I’d like to share to make pandemic life a bit easier.
- Limit consumption of mature rated games and products- It’s a self fulfilling mentality; if you mire yourself in negativity, you get negativity. I love my Fallout, Grand Theft Auto, Resident Evil, and Last Of Us as much as the next Pixel Warrior, but after a long day, I find myself able to unwind better by jumping on some Goombas.
2. Stop watching mainstream media so much- News outlets have a tendency to overplay negative news for clicks. As we all know, negative news gets more coverage and traffic than positive news does. Nuff said.
3. Get out of the house- I cannot stress this enough. Every now and then, we all need to empty our mental reservoirs. I find the best way to do so is to get some fresh air.
4. Exercise- There’s never a bad time to get into shape. If not for the confidence and health boosts you receive, exercise has a positive impact on your mental well being. Look at it this way, you won’t have time to be sad when you’re sweating hard.
It’s important to be aware of the symptoms and dangers of COVID19. Safeguard yourselves, and pray for guidance.
All that said, keep in mind no suffering is permanent.
Peace out Pixel Warriors!
